C-Corp Vanuatu
The Metenesel Cocoa Plantation, situated in the West side of Malekula Island is a large scale cocoa plantation established in 1983 as a joint venture between the Government of Vanuatu, CDC (Commonwealth Development Corporation) and local landowners. Metenesel is the largest single cocoa producing estate in Vanuatu.
In 2008, C-Corp (Vanuatu) entered into a long term Management Agreement with the Vanuatu Government for the rehabilitation of approximately 400ha of Government owned Metenesel plantation. Since 2010 C-Corp has subdivided the plantation into over 120 outgrower blocks. Each outgrower is a Small Business Operator, supported by C-Corp for logistics, infrastructure and marketing requirements.
